Choosing a company database
A useful company list begins with a clear market definition. Decide which countries, industries, company types, and business fields matter to your project before comparing products. The questions below explain what our listings include, how ordering and delivery work, and what to consider when using business information.
What information is included in each database?+
Every product page lists its exact fields. Standard fields may include company name, website, business address, general business email, main phone number, industry, category, state, and company description. Fields differ by product, so the relevant listing is the definitive description of what you will receive.
How do I choose the right list?+
Start with the geography, industry, company type, and fields required for your project. Review the record count and use cases on each listing. If an important field or market is not shown, contact us before payment to discuss a custom list.
Are the example record counts guaranteed?+
The displayed record count describes the current workbook offered on the product page. Business records can be merged, removed, or updated as organisations change. Check the listing for the stated count and scope at the time you order.
What file formats are provided?+
Ready-made company lists are supplied in the format shown on the listing, commonly an Excel workbook. Custom company profile research is supplied as a PDF. A custom list’s format is agreed during scoping.
Can I preview the entire database before buying?+
We do not publish or provide the complete paid workbook before purchase. Product pages explain the market, fields, record count, format, and intended uses so you can evaluate suitability. The clothing boutiques page offers a 50-company sample and the kitchen cookware page offers a 25-company sample. Submit the sample request on the relevant page to inspect the format. Contact us if you need clarification about a particular column or coverage area.
How do I receive a ready-made file?+
For the clothing boutiques and kitchen cookware lists, complete payment on the offering page to unlock the spreadsheet download. Follow the delivery instructions shown on other offerings. If a paid download does not start, contact support@theprospectlist.com with the product and payment reference; do not pay again before checking with support.
Why is delivery not always immediate?+
Clothing boutiques and kitchen cookware workbooks use a download after successful payment. Custom company profiles require research and have a stated three-working-day delivery timeline; other custom-project timings are confirmed during scoping. Follow the terms on the specific offering.
Is the payment recurring?+
No. Database and company-profile products use one-time pricing unless a listing explicitly says otherwise. There is no automatic database subscription attached to a standard purchase.
Which payment methods are available?+
The payment section shows the methods currently offered. These may include Razorpay Standard Checkout with eligible cards, eligible UPI, netbanking and wallet options. Razorpay determines which methods are available for each customer. International payment methods may require Razorpay account approval.
Can international customers order?+
Yes. Customers worldwide can view converted local-currency prices where supported. International customers may use Razorpay Standard Checkout with an eligible card or another method Razorpay makes available. Currency conversion and card charges are determined by the customer's card issuer and payment provider.
How current is the company information?+
Business information changes continuously. Companies move, close, rebrand, update websites, and change contact details. Each listing explains its scope, and critical information should be independently verified before outreach or decision-making.
Does every record contain every listed field?+
Not necessarily. Public availability differs between organisations. A workbook may have blank cells where a reliable value was not available. We prefer an empty field to inventing or guessing information.
Can I request corrections?+
If you identify a material problem with the delivered file, contact support with the product name, order information, affected record, and a clear description. We will review the issue against the published product scope.
Can I request a company profile?+
Yes. Public and private company profile research is available for companies worldwide and is delivered as a custom PDF brief. The available depth depends on the amount and reliability of public information about the selected company.
What can a company profile cover?+
Depending on public availability, a profile may cover headquarters, industry, overview, products or services, geographic presence, leadership, competitors, and recent developments. Private-company financial, ownership, or customer information may not be publicly disclosed.
Can I request a custom database?+
Yes. Use the contact page to describe the country, sector, company type, required fields, exclusions, and approximate record volume. We will review feasibility and provide a project quotation and delivery estimate before work begins.
May I use the database for sales outreach?+
The products are designed for legitimate business research and responsible B2B activity. You remain responsible for determining whether a particular communication is permitted and for following privacy, marketing, telemarketing, and electronic-communications laws in every relevant jurisdiction.
What uses are prohibited?+
Do not use the information for unlawful spam, harassment, discrimination, identity theft, fraud, threats, or attempts to obtain private account access. Do not misrepresent the origin of a communication or ignore valid opt-out and suppression requests.
What is the refund process?+
Contact us within 14 days if you believe an order requires review. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances and the published Refund Policy, particularly because databases and research files are digital products.
What should I include in a support request?+
Provide the product or service name, payment date, payment reference or order number, delivery email, and a concise explanation of the issue. Do not send card numbers, online-banking passwords, or one-time security codes.
