Choosing a company database
Here are the questions that matter when choosing a file, requesting research or following up on an order. If your question is not covered, contact support with the page or company name.
Which lists are free?+
The complete U.S. clothing boutiques, education services and kitchen cookware workbooks are free. Open the company-list page, choose a file and enter your email in its download form.
What does a workbook contain?+
The available columns are shown beside the download. They include company name, website, address, general email and phone fields. A field can be blank where information is unavailable. Review the actual file before planning an import or campaign.
Are the rows unique companies?+
A row may describe a company or a location. Several branches can share the same website. Compare the business name, domain and address before merging records or treating the row count as a count of separate buying organisations.
How do I request a different market?+
Use the custom-list form to choose a country and industry. Include the business types you want, any exclusions and essential fields. The form shows the current price and delivery time before payment.
What do company, SWOT and country reports cost?+
Each Company Report, SWOT report and Country Profile costs US$6. Choose a supported checkout currency and pay the displayed equivalent before research begins. A company report describes a business; a SWOT report examines its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
When will my report arrive?+
Company, SWOT and Country Profile PDFs are delivered by email within 1 working day after verified payment. Custom company lists are delivered within two working days after payment. Strategic analysis requests show a 3–5 working day timeline, with scope confirmed by email.
Can you research a private company?+
Yes, where public information is available. Private companies may not disclose revenue, customers, ownership or employee numbers. The report should identify missing information rather than present an estimate as a confirmed figure.
Can I pay from another country?+
Use the methods shown in checkout. Check the charge currency and amount before confirming. Availability and conversion charges depend on the payment provider, country and card issuer.
What if a download or email does not arrive?+
Check your spam folder and the email address in your request. Contact support@theprospectlist.com with the file or company name and request date. For a paid request, include the payment reference. Do not send card details or one-time codes.
How can I report an incorrect record?+
Send the file name, affected row, the field that looks wrong and a supporting source. Keep the original workbook so the record can be identified. Business information changes, so check important details before relying on them.
Does an email address give me permission to send marketing?+
No. Public availability does not establish consent. Check the rules that apply to your intended communication and honour opt-out requests. See the Data Usage Policy for the conditions of use.
How are refund requests handled?+
Contact support within 14 days of payment with the order reference and a description of the problem. Eligibility is reviewed under the Refund Policy and applicable rights.
