The Prospect List publishes company-list resources and research tools to help visitors evaluate markets, organisations and business opportunities. This page explains how our public content is selected, checked, maintained and corrected.

Original, useful resources

Every guide, sample and service page is written for a specific visitor question: what a dataset contains, how a company report is prepared, which public evidence supports a SWOT finding, or how to use business information responsibly. We do not publish pages simply to host advertisements. Pages must provide a practical explanation, an original sample, a working tool or a clearly described research service.

Sources and verification

We prioritise official company websites, regulatory filings, investor-relations material, government registers and recognised public institutions. Reputable business publications may provide context. Important report claims should be traceable to a named source or web link where the format permits it.

Company information changes. Before delivery, we review the requested scope, remove obvious duplicates, check that key fields match the intended company or market, and identify information that could not be verified. Visitors should independently confirm time-sensitive details before making business decisions.

Editorial safeguards

• Clear scope: pages explain geography, industry, record count, format and delivery where applicable.
• No invented certainty: evidence gaps are disclosed rather than replaced by unsupported claims.
• Human review: requested reports are reviewed for relevance, structure and source quality before delivery.
• Responsible use: visitors must follow privacy, marketing and communications laws. Spam, harassment and unlawful profiling are prohibited.
• Corrections: send the page, company and supporting source to support@theprospectlist.com. Substantiated corrections are reviewed and applied.

Ongoing maintenance

Core service, product, help and policy pages are reviewed whenever a workflow, price, dataset, delivery method or legal notice changes. Links, forms and mobile layouts are checked during structural releases. Material factual corrections are prioritised.
